Both 10mm and 12.5mm Tilebacker Board was specified for the refurbishment of washroom and toilet areas in the British Airways Executive Lounges at each terminal. These had been upgraded to be finished throughout in ceramic tiles.

Over the contract period various installers have been involved including Pan Interiors and Dean & Amos.

The wedi Tilebacker Board was supplied via merchants including Sheffield Insulations and CP Supplies, and mostly delivered in 250m2 drops direct to site by wedi.

Key factors in the specification of wedi Tilebacker Board were that the product held British Board of Agrément certification, and that it contained no environmentally harmful substances.

“We were delighted to be specified for such a prestigious project” said wedi M.D. Ian Fyfe “and we look forward to further developments at Heathrow and Gatwick.”

Altogether, wedi has supplied over 5,000m2 of Tilebacker Board over the project period to date.
